  • Rose & Becca

Rose & I flew home from Boston yesterday afternoon and the ICD experience was so much better than I ever expected! Rose & Becca were both in pain and may not totally agree, but I had it in my mind that it was going to be much worse. Rose was excited because Lisa showed us around some of Boston the night before the surgery and we never had the chance to do that. Rose also loved the entire hospital experience, Drs., beds, nurses, pain meds, etc. Becca and Rose did pull each other through and have started a wonderful friendship that I am sure will last forever! Lisa and I are blessed with two wonderful kids! Pam Alexsson visited the girls and made them both feel very special! We also got to meet Tim and ask some in person questions about the message board which was great. Thank you all for all the prayers it really did help. Rose and I are looking forward to meeting a lot more of you in June. Thanks again! Donna

What a neat experience for something that is not always fun. Having new friends makes it easier. Good luck to Rose on the rest of her recovery.

Donna - Thanks for the update. I'm glad you all were able to be there for each other. Lisa is quite a tour guide, isn't she? Linda

Today was a first...Becca slept until 11:00am the kid was knocked out by the past few days! It was really great that she and Rose had each other to go through this with each other. We had hoped that the girls could share a hospital room however they were placed in PICU as a precaution so they had private rooms - as adults we beg for private rooms as kids...well neither were happy with that.

Becca is doing very well! Thank you all for your good wishes!!

Glad to know the girls are both home and doing well. Sorry that they didn't get to share a room. Hopefully this will start a longtime friendship for the girls.
