Well,
I now have a date. They will replace my AICD on July 20, I'm a little nervous about it with my past history and all. I guess my biggest fear is the incision not healing like with what happened with my medi-port.
Is there anything that docs can do to ensure that does not happen?

another flawed Aicd to be replaced
Well,
I was in the hospital again with chest pain, sob, and tingling in my left foot with a severe headache. The cardio that came to see me was the EP for the office and I asked him about the Guidant device. He said it was my decision.
So, I think I'm gonna get rid of it. My odds of things not working have been running pretty high lately and I don't want to take anymore chances. Also, the battery is a little over half used and its only two and a half years old.
So, my cardiology office will be calling me soon to set up an appointment to have it removed. I just hope the replacement is not as hard on me as the initial implant because I ended up spending three days in the hospital!
