    Lisa are you up on the problems with the Guidant devices? It is the ICD Ventak Prizm 2 Model 1861. It has an electrical flaw that was not disclosed for 3 years. Please reference the news article from the St.Paul Pioneer Press of Tuesday May 24th,2005.

    Dx age 12 current age 46 and counting!
    lost: 5 family members to HCM (SCD, Stroke, CHF)
    Others diagnosed living with HCM (or gene +) include - daughter, niece, nephew, cousin, sister and many many friends!
    Therapy - ICD (implanted 97, 01, 04 and 11, medication
    Currently not obstructed
    Complications - unnecessary pacemaker and stroke (unrelated to each other)

      Lisa, my son has a Guidant AICD T135 is the model number. Is there any problem with those?

      By the way, You had asked me several months ago for a copy of my nephew's autopsy report. I haven't forgot and hope it's not too late. I have asked my sister in law twice and she says she will get it for me. However, it's not a subject I like to bring up and ask over and over again if you know what I mean...


      Today's Birthdays
