Replacemnet
Donna it should go very well, and very fast. I wish you the best and a speedy recovery. I worked as an EP nurse for a great clinic, doing the follow up exams and "tweeking" the devices afterwards. Best of luck

Replacements are MUCH easier then the original implant. I was in the hospital for 3.5 hours start to finish! It was really easy - (still hurt afterwards for a few days).
Good Luck!

I get my new ICD on the 31st
We, I will be going in to have my ICD replaced on May 31st. They said it would be fast and a lot easier than the first one. But the nurse said that it seems to be that the site for the replacement can be more swollen and sore than the first time around. I will ask for a week off work. I am a checker at a store and have a lot of lifting and moving of my arms.
I think it should be ok. The hardest part of the day will be having to get up at 4:00am to get to the hospital by 6:00am. I am not a morring person. I will let you know when it is done.Tags: None
