I had my ICD implanted 9 weeks ago.

Today at work I got a REALLY sharp pain (in the vicinity where the ICD is). It felt like a needle was poking in me. I don't think it even lasted a minute and then went away. A little while ago it felt the exact same way...like a needle was jabbing in me. It hurt so bad it gave me goosebumps! Again, only lasted for a bit, then went away.

Has that ever happened to anyone before? If so, what's the deal?

Rene, you might want to call the doctor to ask what's going on. It's been long enough now that things should be pretty well healed. Maybe the doctor would have some insight on what this might be.

      Husband has HCM.
      3 kids - ages 23, 21, & 19. All presently clear of HCM.
