Hi Edwin. My husband is 39, diagnosed at age 35. He's had an ICD for a little over 4 years now with no shocks. Let me know if you have any questions. I'd have to ask him if he'd be willing to talk to you.

I'm 35 and I've had an ICD for two years now. I got it after I had a cardiac arrest which is when I found out about HCM.

I'm not sure what the correct etiquette is for exchanging phone numbers but you can contact me at my email ([email protected]) and we can 'coordinate' that way...

Hello HCM'ers,

I love the 4HCM Message Board. I've had HCM since age 7.

I'm currently 36, and my new Cardiologist in Pittsburgh is advising an ICD

It's funny I used to design electronics for NASA spacecrafts, and some of the people I worked with had also designed pacemakers,etc . Never thought I'd be wearing one.

Are there any 30 something's ICD people out there that would willing to talk to me (voice to voice) and tell me what you experiences have been?
