  • Interference power lines

I had an ICD implanted last year November and I recently got a lot of strange episodes, especially in the middle of the night. I live very close to high voltage power lines (maybe 300 ft from my house) and I wonder if any rearch has been done on the effect of magnetic fields from the power lines on ICD's.

    Thanks,

    Eric

Go to this site and ask your question there....they might have an answer:

    www.zaplife.org

This is a site specifically for people with ICDs. There are folks with every type of heart condition imaginable, so some of the info. isn't applicable to HCM, but they know all there is to know about ICDs.
