    Thanks for all the notes...
Why Boston...because that is where Stacey felt the most comfortable. I had my 1st ICD there in 1997 and members of the team that implanted mine did hers.
She is resting for a few days and Aunt Lisa is letting her be the "princess" for a few days....then back to college for her!

Glad to hear the news, esp glad you weren't already on the train and out of reach of the car. We had a memorable trip for our first ICD also. Snowstorms can really paralyze the Baltimore area, kind of like no electricity. Linda

I am glad things went well. Have a safe trip back to New Jersey and I will talk to you next week.

Why all the way to Boston to get an ICD. NYC and even Philly are closer.

I am not real familiar with the situation either.

    Good luck to her

Stacey has her ICD...and what a day to travel!

    Hello...
So here is the long and the short of it all!

On Thursday afternoon we were off to the train station to head to Boston for Stacey's ICD Implant (Friday morning at 7AM was the goal for the procedure). As you all know at 4:11pm...well the power in the east went to **** in a hand basket for lack of better terms...

We were...repeat WERE going to take the train to BOSTON...from NEWARK NJ... Yeh you got it...no train service...so a fast change of plans leave me driving to Boston at 6:00pm...we arrived at about midnight and got to sleep about 1:30am...up at about 5:45am and off to get this done...

The good news is that ALL problems occured PRIOR to our arrival in Boston and Stacey ICD implant went very well. She is now the proud owner of a medtronic Marque ICD (single lead as she had no conduction issues warrenting a dual lead device).

So to all whom have sent good wishes and have been wondering how Stacey is.... SHE IS FINE... and sleepy.... and THANKS FOR thinking of us.

We will spend the night here at NEMC then back in the car and back to NJ sometime Saturday.

Stacey will NEVER FORGET her 1st ICD.

    Best to all,
    "Aunt" Lisa
