  • Bluetooth headset magnet

I just noticed that my bluetooth headset has a magnet in it. I'm guessing it isn't strong enough to cause a problem with my device.... right???

Dunno. I'd call customer service at St. Jude and ask. Let us know what you find out.

      Re: Bluetooth headset magnet

I called them... they were very nice. They said it is ok as long as it is 6" away from the ICD....kind of the same rule they have for other small electronic devices.

While I was on the phone, I asked another question. My podiatrist wants me to get an MRI on my foot. The folks at the HCM center said that it is possible, but that I should call where I'd be having the MRI and ask for the lead technician so I could describe my device and find they are able to do the MRI. But when I spoke with St. Judes, they said that even if the MRI is just on the foot, the magnet is too powerful and it could still damage the device.
