  • ICD from Medtronic

Tomorrow I am having a Medtronic ICD implanted.

I did some research and saw that they have had some recall issues in the past with lead wires

I assume that after those were cleared up the new current models / devices have all been corrected?!?!

If an item has been recalled or has issues, they don't continue to implant them. Anything placed in you is registered. Should they need to contact you for future recalls, they'll be able to.

In recovery & posting. See, it wasn't that bad!
Though, should warn you. They do load you up on numbing agents before they close so do expect more pain tomorrow. Know that the pain is short-lived and you'll be back to your old self in no time.
