    Hi,

If you are on amiodarone (aka Cordarone), sun (or fake sun) is a big no-no.

I won't go into the dangers of tanning beds in general as you are a grown up and can make those decisions for yourself.

    take care,

    S

Heather, in addition to what Lisa and Reenie have told you, check your meds carefully. Many warn to be careful in sun. I'm sure Sarah will add on this one, but some meds increase sensitivity to sunlight (that's kind of like a tanning bed ). Enjoy your gift, but be careful. Linda

Heather, I don't know. I looked up defibrillators on the Medtronic website and didn't see the tanning beds mentioned. My husband did use a tanning bed last spring and had no side effects. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the device and ask them.
